The Difference Between The Fad Diets of Today & The Fad Diets of the Past

What is the difference between the diets that we take seriously today and the diets that we laugh at from the past? As far as I can tell, the only difference is where they fall on the long timeline of fad diets through history. Whether you are talking about the chew your food 32 times before you swallow diet (1903) the cigarette diet (1925) the cabbage soup diet (1950) the Atkins diet (1994), or the keto diet or intermittent fasting (present), these all provide rules and restrictions that are designed to make you question how to eat, when to eat, and what to eat. Realistically, this timeline will likely continue on with new fad diets year after year, and the only way to stop this is to OPT OUT and to focus your attention on tuning into your body and finding the way to eat that makes you strong and well. When it comes to achieving wellness and a healthy happy balanced lifestyle, 'going on a diet' has never been the solution.
